Character Biography:
Born in June 1963 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, he graduated from the Department of Chemistry of Jilin University in 1984 and received his master's and doctor's degrees in 1987 and 1990. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of Chemistry of Fudan University, deputy director of the Advanced Materials Laboratory, and a distinguished professor of the "Yangtze River Scholars Award Program" of the Ministry of Education. Mainly engaged in mesoporous materials synthesis and structure, mechanism of physical chemistry and catalytic research. He was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007.
Reasons for selection:
He often laughed at people and said to himself, "I am a man who makes holes".
In fact, he has made great contributions to the synthesis of mesoporous molecular sieves. We have created 17 new mesoporous molecular sieve structures (FDU series) named after Fudan University. These new mesoporous materials have been produced in kilograms to provide reagents for domestic and foreign research units. The new mesoporous materials have been used in hydrocracking, HPLC support for protein separation, immobilized enzymes and bio-glass bone supplement materials, etc., and have achieved good results, it plays a role in promoting the application of mesoporous materials.
